Burnham’s Bright goes pro for Barnet FC
Burnham FC striker Bright Siaw has officially signed contracts with top of the national league table Barnet FC. Bright, who was already part of the academy set up, has been playing step 5 football for Burnham FC since the beginning of the current 2024/25 season. Under the watchful eyes of joint managers Mo and Omz Bakali.
During his recent visit to The 1878 Stadium Bright thanked the staff, management and his teammates for their support. “…” the young pro explained.
“Bright is hard-working and completely dedicated to his craft” explains Omz. “We’ve known him since he was a little kid and we are obviously ecstatic about his future with Barnet FC. It is a great opportunity for him to develop as a player and we are of course pleased that he is progressing into the pro game. Burnham will continue to fight for a play-off position and we wish the young star every success for the future.”
Racking up 28 appearances for the blues, Bright is fast, strong and direct. He is a defender’s nightmare and he has unselfishly created many goal scoring opportunities for others. As you can imagine, he is a very popular player within the Burnham squad. However, after being put out on lone, he will now appear for Burnham groundshare step 4 side Southall FC until the end of the season. Playing their remaining home games at The 1878 Stadium.
Burnham now face North Greenford away on Saturday. One of two final games that will determine a final playoff position.
