Burnham FC win Football in Berkshire’s Best Match Day Experience Award 2023
Burnham Football Club have won the Best Match Day Experience category in this year’s Football in Berkshire Awards 2023. Nominated alongside Ascot United, Yateley United and Hungerford Town, Sky Sports News’ host Tom White announced the winners of all 16 categories to a packed audience at the Double Barrelled Brewery in Reading. First up, Club Secretary Gary Reeves and Media & Marketing Director Paul Butler received the award on behalf of Burnham Football Club and those involved in preparing for match days and making sure the events run smoothly.
Quoted afterwards, Gary said
“There’s so much work that goes on behind the scenes preparing for match days and this award is great recognition for the team and for all their hard work.”
Paul explains
“It’s like we’re inviting people into our own home. We want them to enjoy the day, win, lose or draw and go home with a smile on their face. This is a very proud moment and I’m so pleased for the girls Michele, Michelle and our Chairman Glenn.
All nominees who were shortlisted were given a medal to take home as appreciation for their achievement at this year’s awards. The event was also streamed live on the Football in Berkshire YouTube channel and the recording can be viewed below.
