Kit’s Fun Day Football

Two football teams, the Golden Oldies and the Young Guns, turned out on Saturday at The 1878 Stadium to support the Berkshire SANDS charity (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death).

Organised by locals Carly and Terry Edwards the event took place in memory of their son Kit Edwards, on what would have been his 3rd birthday.

Approximately 100 men, women and children arrived for the 10:30 KO, many from Burnham and Britwell. Staying afterwoods for post match refreshments before moving on to the Britwell Ex Service Men’s Club for an afternoon of family fun including a BBQ, face painting and live music from 4G.

The football match was a great success and a return to Burnham Football Club next year is already being planned.
