Match Days at Burnham Football Club & The 1878 Stadium

We welcome visitors to the 1878 Stadium on a daily basis. The following information provides useful guidance for anyone coming to watch a match.

About: The 1878 Stadium, Burnham Football Club

Maximum capacity 2,500 including covered seating for 300 in the main stand. There is also a small covered section on the far side of the pitch with standing room only. Supporters can watch from the concrete path behind the fencing which surrounds the artificial 3G surface. Supporters are not allowed on the pitch and pitch invasions are not permitted.

Free on-site Parking: 100 spaces

There are approximately 100 free parking spaces at the facility. There is also wheelchair access to the ground, with access to toilets both inside the Blues Bar and Cafe and at the end of the main stand in the stadium itself.

Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please park as close to the next vehicle as possible. DO NOT park in spaces reserved for Burnham FC Managament or in front of the double gates, which provides access for the emergency services.

The Blues Bar and Cafe

Matches on Sky Sports and BT Sport are available to watch while you relax and enjoy the club’s main bar and social space. Alcoholic drinks and soft drinks are available, cash and card payments accepted. The Blues Bar and Cafe is also available for hire, please use the form provided if you would like to learn more and check availability.

Admission

Please check our social profiles prior to match days. Admission prices differ depending on who is playing and whether it is a league or cup fixture. As an example, admission prices for all Burnham FC LEAGUE MATCHES during the 2026-2027 season are as follows:

Please be aware:

As a courtesy to our neighbours – NO MUSICAL OR OTHER NOISE CREATING INSTRUMENTS to be brought into the stadium.

• Abusive behaviour towards staff will not be tolerated.

• Dogs are allowed in the stadium, however, they must be kept on a lead at all times.

• No flares or fireworks allowed.

• No smoking where the seats are in the main stand. Ashtrays are available in designated areas at each end of the main stand.

• Plastic containers only in the stadium, no glass.

Refreshments and Food

Teas, coffees, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, hot food and confectionary can be purchased during the game from the Stadium Café hatch (M&M’s), located just to the left when entering via the turnstiles. Only drinks purchased from the premisses can be consumed on the premisses – Plastic containers only within the stadium.

We want people to enjoy their time at The 1878 Stadium. If for any reason you forget to bring your boots there is a selection of boots in various sizes you can borrow during your visit. Just ask a smember of staff.

Sitting or laying on the pitch (unless genuinely injured), wearing flat shoes, trainers, sliders, socks or bear feet has the effect of ironing the grass fibres. Flattening the surface damages the complex water drainage system, causing waterlogging and dramatically reduce the life expectancy of the artificial pitch. Socks only, bear feet, shoes, trainers or sliders with flat soles are NOT permitted – No Excuses! Abusive behaviour towards staff will not be tolerated. If you want to know more, click here

Leaving the 1878 Stadium

Supporters should leave the stands via the main blue gate next to the tunrnstiles. Players and team management will be asked to leave via the players tunnel, passed the Blues Bar to the main car park.
